Doubles: Champs and Consolation
July 4 splits into two finals. Top half plays for Champs, lower half plays for Consolation Champs. T-shirts, merch, and gift cards for both finals.
Showdown: Winner takes half the pool
August 1 is a single-champion bracket. The winning four split half of the total entry pool. The more teams that sign up, the bigger the prize. Could be real money.
Same Franktown courts
Four full-size sand courts at Calvary Christian Academy on Highway 15. Same place as the camps. Easy parking, food on site, music court-side all day.
Saturdays, 8:30 to ~3
Check-in around 8:30, first whistle shortly after, finals wrap up mid-afternoon depending on field size. Plan your day around it.

We're not running solo-list pairings this summer, so a full team is needed at signup. If you're missing one or two players, message @lanarkcountybv on Instagram and we'll try to connect you with another team that's also looking. The earlier the better.

Do I need a full team to sign up?
Yes. Bring your team locked in: two players for Doubles, four for the Showdown. We aren't running solo-list pairings this summer. If you're short a player, message @lanarkcountybv early and we'll try to connect you with another team that's also looking.
What does Champs and Consolation Champs mean?
For the July 4 Doubles, after pool play the field splits into two final brackets. The top half plays for the Champs title, the lower half plays for the Consolation Champs title. T-shirts, merch, and gift cards are on the line for both finals, so every team is playing for something through the whole day. The August 1 Showdown is a single-champion bracket — see below.
What are the rules for the August 1 Ottawa Valley Showdown?
The Showdown is 4v4 Open. Both genders are welcome on the team, but there are no enforced co-ed rules — bring your strongest four. Unlike the July 4 Doubles, the Showdown is a single-champion bracket: one team wins it all, and they take home half of the total entry pool. The more teams that sign up, the bigger the prize. This is the biggest LCBV tournament of the summer, open to anyone in the Ottawa Valley who thinks they have the four to win it.
How does the Showdown prize work exactly?
The winning four-person team splits 50% of the total entry pool collected from all teams that registered. The other 50% goes to LCBV to cover the courts, the food, the music, the staff, and the day. There's no Consolation Champ for this one — it's winner take half.
What time does the day run?
Check-in around 8:30 in the morning, first whistle shortly after, finals wrap up by mid-afternoon (roughly 3 pm, depending on field size). Plan your day around it.
What skill level do I need?
Any. Pool play splits teams into two finals based on how teams are playing on the day, so you're not stuck playing way above or below your level. Both finals win prizes. If you've picked up a ball, there's a tournament for you.
Is food included?
Food and drinks are available for purchase on site throughout the day. The Showdown does not include a free lunch with registration — grab something court-side as the day goes.
Where exactly is it?
Calvary Christian Academy on Highway 15 in Franktown. Same place as the camps. Four full-size sand courts. Directions are in the footer of every page.
What if it rains?
Beach volleyball plays through light rain. If conditions get unsafe (thunder, heavy storm), we'll pause or reschedule and post updates on Instagram in real time.
Can my camp player do tournaments too?
Yes. Junior and Senior camp players are welcome to enter with a full team. The Showdown is open to anyone. The Doubles brackets split by gender so the field is competitive within each bracket.
